Steps for Application for German Study Visa

Identify the appropriate area of jurisdiction based on the student's state of residence. This will determine the correct embassy, consulate, or visa application center where the student must apply for their visa.
Identify the Visa Type
The German government issues two types of student visas, depending on the intended duration of stay:

  1. National Visa (D-Visa): For study programs exceeding 90 days (typically for full-time degree courses).

  2. Schengen Visa (C-Visa): For study-related stays up to 90 days (such as short-term courses or summer schools)..

Open a Blocked Account
To demonstrate financial stability, students must open a blocked account in Germany and deposit a minimum of €10,513. This amount covers living expenses and helps secure accommodation and daily needs for one year.
Completion of Documentation

For the visa appointment, students must carry three sets of required documents:

  1. 1 set of original documents Schengen ..

Submit the Visa Application Students must submit their complete visa application either at the German Embassy/Consulate or through the nearest VFS Global Application Centre, depending on their region's jurisdiction.
