Cost of Education & Accommodation in Ireland

Ireland provides high-quality education at a comparatively affordable cost. The shorter program duration also makes it more economical for international students.

Estimated Tuition Fees:

  • Undergraduate Programs: €9,850 – €25,500 per year
  • Postgraduate Master’s Programs: €9,500 – €34,500 per year
  • Doctoral Programs: €9,500 – €34,500 per year

Accommodation Costs:
Students can choose on-campus housing or shared off-campus apartments. Estimated annual living and accommodation costs range from €7,000 to €12,000.

International students are allowed to work up to 40 hours per week without needing an additional work permit, provided they renew their Irish Residence Permit (IRP).

Ireland Study Visa Requirements

The Irish government welcomes international students with various visa options depending on course duration:

  • C Study Visa: For courses shorter than 3 months
  • D Study Visa: For courses longer than 3 months

Visa applications should be submitted at least 3 months before your travel date via the official Irish government website. The visa application fee is €60.

Students must provide proof of English proficiency via tests like IELTS or SELT, with a minimum score of 4.0 or above in each component (reading, writing, speaking, listening).

Post Study Work (PSW) Permit in Ireland

Ireland offers a Third Level Graduate Scheme, allowing international students to remain in the country post-graduation to seek employment.

  • Undergraduate Graduates: Eligible for a 1-year PSW permit
  • Postgraduate Graduates: Eligible for a 2-year PSW permit
